How long have you been a designer at VRG GRL?
I have worked at VRG GRL for about 10 months! I graduated uni at the end of 2020, I feel incredibly grateful to work for such a vibrant & youthful brand.
What’s your favourite thing about being a fashion designer?
I love it when I see people wear the garments I have designed. It’s so cool to see how other people incorporate each piece into their own wardrobe.
How did the opportunity arise to be the artist for this collection?
Print design has always been an important part of VRG GRL’s and my own design identity. As an assistant designer at VRG GRL I create prints almost every day. My prints and silhouettes are often influenced by the time I spent living in Europe.
The artwork I created for the collection ‘Villa Amalfi’ was so exciting because finally, I had the opportunity to pay homage to my European memories that seem so distant in 2022.
What was your main inspiration for this particular collection?
VRG GRL x VILLA AMALFI was inspired by my dreamy European memories. Long days spent travelling along the winding roads of the Amalfi coast, dips in the warm Mediterranean Sea and aperitivos at sunset...
What’s your favourite piece from the collection and why?
I love the VRG GRL x VILLA AMALFI Le Sirenuse Midi Dress.
I can definitely see myself in this dress on a hot summer’s day, sipping an Aperol Spritz at a rooftop bar. Need I say more?
The range is inspired by your memories on the South Coast of Italy. So we need to know, what’s your fave Euro Summer memory?
It sounds cliche, however, my favourite memory of Euro summer was Paris Fashion Week!!!
I was a fashion design student at the time and my friends and I would spend hours putting together the most insane outfits and run around the city trying to sneak into shows.
Favourite country to visit on vacay?
Italy!! However, I would never say no to a trip to Berlin.
